Activities

Walk, Run

Bike lanes and sidewalks line the entire key. If riding a bike on the sidewalks, the Town of Longboat Key requires that you must have a bell to ring that will notify walkers you are coming. It’s the law.

Tennis

Many courts available. Contact www.longboatkey.org/departments/tennis
 

Fishing

Fishing is permitted in parks unless otherwise posted. It is regulated by the Florida Fish & Wildlife Commission.
 

Golf

Longboat Key Tennis & Golf Club (private) many public courses in the area of Sarasota and Bradenton
 

Sail, Boat, Kayak

Public access at parks at the south end of the Island at New Pass Bridge and Ken Thompson Park.

The parks are:
Bicentennial Park - located at 2730 Gulf of Mexico Drive
Joan M. Durante Park - located at 5550 Gulf of Mexico Drive
Overlook Park - located at 101 Gulf of Mexico Drive
 

Recreation Center

The recreation center is located at 4052 Gulf of Mexico Drive. It offers fitness and yoga classes.

Center for the Arts

The Center for Arts is located at 6860 Longboat Drive.  Exhibitions and classes offered.
